References and Resources for Social Fractalism

Buckminster Fuller
*Fuller, Buckminster. Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth (1970). Fuller is one of the spiritual fathers of the science of social fractalism.

*Fuller quotation of interest: "Man … is being forced to reestablish, employ, and enjoy his innate ‘comprehensivity.’ Coping with the totality of Spaceship Earth and universe is ahead for all of us. Evolution is apparently intent that men fulfill a much greater destiny than that of being a simple muscle and reflex machine—a slave automaton—automation displaces automatons." (40)

Theodore Hall
*Hall, T.D. The Ark—Surviving the Flood of Disinformation (1997). See Bookstore.

*Hall, T.D. Sacred Circle—The Purification of Earth & Reunion of Its Peoples. The first book based upon social fractalist theory, Sacred Circle provides some last-minute advice to readers who understand that “life as we know it” is about to change drastically. A mixed genre book (stories, essays, parables, song lyrics, etc.), Sacred Circle provides a leading-edge science-based optimistic view of humanity’s future. See Bookstore.

Bruce Lipton
*A general familiarity with the work of Dr. Bruce H. Lipton is a necessary basis for understanding social fractalism.

Thorstein Veblen
*Veblen, Thorstein. The Theory of the Leisure Class (1899). One of Veblen’s theses is that "civilization" represents a decline from man’s original state, that of "peaceable savagery." If you’re unfamiliar with the wisdom of "peaceable savagery," read the classic Black Elk Speaks, or Malidoma Some’s The Healing Wisdom of Africa.

List will be extended as time goes by. Feel free to make recommendations.
